(still no snakes) This flight was a little more involved. Longer, the kids were more tired, and the excitement of flying had sort of warn off. Thankfully Alice was asleep before take-off so that bought us about an hour there. Sam closed his eyes for about two minutes but he is just old enough to not want a nap but still kind of needs it. He watched videos pretty much solid the second flight. By this point the adults were pretty tired too and were jut trying to survive. I was just trying to stay awake due to my major insomnia the night before.

The last hour was pretty hairy. Sam had no patience left so everything was a catastrophe, Alice was getting hard to distract, and the babies were just tired. The older grandpa-ish gentleman next to me was in some ways very opposite of the middle school girl I sat by earlier (larger and male) but was incredibly patient and sweet. Probably not his favorite flight, but he was a little transfixed by the “twin power”, so it worked. Somehow we ended up in the part of the plane with all of the families also going to Orlando for vacation. Pretty child-friendly destination, hence lots of kids on the flight which was to our advantage. Other moms in our section helped hold the babies (more “twin power”) nobody evil-eyed us to the point of uncomfort. None of our children screamed longer than about five minutes. Not bad. Could have been much worse. Ringing endorsement.
