Scavenger Hunt

Photos have been requested of the new house. Now, I told you guys this house feels like it was built for us and it’s got a lot of quirky features, so let’s see if you can spot ‘em. I didn’t get a pic of the front of the house, so those are posted below. This is just the inside from our initial walk through. Click on the “Scavenger Hunt” title to go to link, and as you scroll through photos, see if you can find:

(0) Cutie twins who apparently come with the house!
(1) Pond/water feature complete with duck sculptures in the front (hard to see, but it’s there)
(2) Massive YL camp indoor fireplace (how could you miss…before I said 5’ x 5’ but I have been corrected—it’s 9’ x 7’)
(3) Log cabin wooden room—it’s like something right out of Sisters or YL’s Malibu in British Columbia, including wooden/brick window seat!
(4) Art loft with built-in art studio storage
(5) Inside-out room with painted floors (I plan to put an elliptical machine here, my own little private gym!)
(6) An abundance and assortment of track lighting, including in the garage (oh yeah)
(7) Carpet in the two master closets (the only carpet in the house!)
(8) Pink master bath sinks (yes, two of them!)
(9) Pink toilet (amazing)
(10) Pink jetted tub (even better…pseudo hot tub for awhile)
(11) Peek-a-boo window into kitchen (makes me wanna sell my kids lemonade, or give ‘em advice like Lucy n Charlie Brown’s Christmas)
(12) Gingerbread house kitchen
(13) Wood, wood and more wood (Alaksan cedar I am told which you can’t get anymore)
(14) Fireplace in dining area (we can have chestnuts roasting on an open fire every night, IN OUR DINING ROOM…can you say Thanksgiving dinner?!)
(15) Hiddy mini door on the floor (what this is for, I don’t know exactly know…it goes to the bathroom, which is weird…but it is my kids favorite part of the house, of course!)
(16) Gym shower (with a light in it)
(17) Sweet 80s oak built in computer desk (did they even have computers when this was built?!)
(18) Swiss Pinocchio-esque banister
(19) Stained glass window (can you find it? Look at the top of the stairs)
(20) Built in old-school ironing board (which I love!)
(21) Shakespearean stone stage in backyard (why? Don’t know, but my theater training will come into play, we can become the Vontrapps)
(22) Outdoor fire pit (Kumbaya anyone? is this a Young Life house, or what?)
(23) Motorized awnings on back of house
(24) Brand new stainless steel COIL stove (hmmm…)

Warning, these are not the best photos…they are from our first walk through so sort of random. And I may have missed some othet things (not pictured is the Narnia lampost, the Dutch front door with stained glass window, the French doors from dining room to living room (all door nationaties represented), oh, and the pull down stairs to the crawlspace/attic—so “Christmas Vacation”).

Oh, and the random guy is our realtor, Josh. He’s great…somehow managed to get this house for us. Miracle worker.

Happy viewing!
